{ Early Riser }

 I get up early....

every morning!

I've never been able to sleep late and to be honest I get envious when others say they're gonna sleep in because I just can't.

But, I wouldn't trade my early mornings for any other time of the day. I'm alone... well, other than Sage and Jesus... and it's so peaceful. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of the sunrise through the bare winter trees and as I sit here now, I'm hearing the wind chimes on the porch as I'm fixing to drink my coffee and open my Bible. That verse of scripture in Psalms comes to mind where Jesus says, "Come talk with me" and my heart is thankful that He made me just the way I am...

an early riser!

Hope your SONday is chock full of blessings!

  1. Since I started working, I do take those 2 days off a week to heart and sleep in (since I have to get up at 4 am the regular days). I never use too, not even when I was in school. But I am finding that this old body needs rest, shhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone, grin. Have a beautiful day friend.

    1. I'm just basically not a good sleeper in general... 6 hours total is about my norm. No wonder I stay 😴! ☺

  2. Oh I love this! Thank you for being an "early riser" and sharing your morning glories with us. Wonderful way to start your day...and mine too, except I'm not seeing it until afternoon. LOL. Love it.

  3. I used to get up at 5:00 a.m. every morning when I was working but I freely admit and confess that, unless I have an appointment, I don't get up much before 8:30 or 9:00. A total sloth. We have had a good Sunday!

    1. I see nothing wrong with that at all... I truly wish I could sleep late, at least sometimes. 😔

  5. We are starting a new Bible Study this week Deb and the author talks about how her life has changed over the years from sleeping in to rising early and the things in her life that brought on those changes. She proceeds to say that her mornings with God, alone, that quiet time, has become so precious to her that she's not sure she could ever SLEEP in again! I loved that! For me personally, I need my quiet time in the mornings but with working PT, I find myself rising early on the days I work and trying o sleep in a bit on the days I am off. Which my sleeping in is more of toss and turn till my back hurts and then I just get out the bed and be done with it! LOL! Happy New Year to you dear friend. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
