If you know me very well, then you've probably come to realize that my mind has a tendency to wander, so this morning has been no exception. As I was reading the referenced scripture in my devotional in Psalm 91, I noticed on the opposite page I had underlined a verse in Psalm 92.....
What a sweet reminder that was to me because I'm definitely of "old age"
(just ask our daughter....😊)!
Here's another version.....
Still a precious word from God about how we're still valuable even as we grow old(er).
But, to show you that our God truly has a sense of humor, (and I do believe He gave me mine) if you read this same verse in yet another version of the Bible, here's what you get.....
"Fat and flourishing"
REALLY?!?!?
Well, I guess if the shoe fits!
😂
I do like that first part, though.....
"The older the palm tree, the sweeter the fruit!!!
Happy Tuesday, Y'all!
I love that verse!
ReplyDeleteFat? Oh no He didn't!
Now that is funny! I so love God's humor. I think I may have to claim that as my life verse at this point in my life. Fat and Flourishing does seem to fit, maybe not in the way he meant it though. lol
ReplyDeleteFat & flourishing! Love it!! Thanks for the giggle, my friend!
ReplyDeleteGreat verses.......fat and flourishing kinda defines me I'm thinking. Thanks for the Anniversary greeting last week. We had a great celebration and are so thankful we have had 50 years together.
ReplyDeleteI have got to remember this verse! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
