How's everybody doing?
It's been an extra busy week here, but I still managed to get lots of pics to share today. As a matter of fact, it's kinda picture overload with a bit of a description for each one.....
so here goes.
so here goes.
Pappy tilled up our little garden plot one day last week but I hadn't purchased any plants for it yet. I'm so glad I hadn't because a neighbor who just happens to be Pappy's cousin came over and asked if we'd like some plants for our garden. Here's a small portion of what he gave us. The rest we shared with Jess and her hubby.
The red hot pokers are just beginning to bloom.
I love these plants because they were given to me by my father-in-law.
This Japanese Iris isn't showing up nearly as deep a purple as it actually is. It also came from my father-in-law. He loved having flowers in his yard.
Wild violets growing along the side of our road.
Y'all know I ♥ anything purple!
Totally random and not the clearest picture but a spider built her nest on our carport.
The rhododendron are blooming.
These bushes are at least 25 years old and are loaded with buds this year.
My sweet little snowball bush has several blooms this year.
We moved it a couple of weeks ago because it wasn't doing well where it was at.
Weeds....um, wildflowers that I picked while walking the road with our littlest grand-kiddos.
Aren't dandelions just beautiful?
One of my Christmas cacti decided to bless me with one bloom for Easter SONday!
I asked Pappy for a clematis a couple of years ago for our anniversary and of course what better color to choose than PURPLE?!? It's growing up an old rusty trellis at one end of our front sidewalk. There's a white one planted on the other side but it hasn't bloomed yet.
And, I HAD to include one sky picture.
I loved the look of that big white fluffy cloud.
I'm looking forward to seeing your pics today.
HOPE everybody has a great weekend.
