I thought I'd share a little quick tutorial on a storage idea for spices. Mine were in a basket beside the stove, but it seemed I had to just keep picking up each bottle to see what it contained before I would happen to choose the one I was looking for. I purchased a pie and a pizza pan from the Dollar Tree and Pappy found me the old wooden dowel in the basement (sometimes having a husband who is a "collector" comes in handy.....;-)
I used E-6000 glue to attach the dowel to the pizza pan and let it dry.....
Then, did the same for the pie pan......
And, now I can see my spices and have a place to hold a few of the most used essential oils.
I think the only thing I might like better is if the pans were rusty......LOL
I do love me some rust patina!
HOPE everybody has a Terrific Tuesday!
Excellent idea, Deb! Mine are on a wooden shelf in my kitchen. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Looks great and not expensive, just how I like it. Wish you lived close too, I would love for you to be with the GLOW sisters tomorrow. I know they would love you like I do, taking you on the trip in my heart. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteHow creative!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I just need more counter space. I love your Cades Cove picture on your header, makes me want to take a day trip!
ReplyDeleteClever idea. I have a cabinet that has a double lazy susan in it and I keep all my spices on that in alphabetical order.
ReplyDeleteGood job! Mine are on lazy Susans in the cabinet by my stove. This post reminds me I need to go through and check expiration dates. Some I buy for one recipe and never use again.
ReplyDeleteCute idea.
ReplyDeleteSomething else one might consider is having a lazy Susan on the bottom instead of a pizza pan; then one could turn it around to see the spices and select the one needed.
ReplyDeleteHow nifty is that!!!! Thanks for sharing. Have a beautiful Wednesday, friend.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea! LOVE IT! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
