I stood in the doorway as Pappy left for work yesterday morning and saw this.....
And, was reminded of my word for 2016.....
PRESENT.....
and thought how awesome it was to be living in and enjoying and pondering the PRESENT moment. The first thought that popped into my mind were the lyrics to an old song by Cat Stevens.....
"Morning Has Broken"
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Lamentations 3:22-23
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
HOPE y'all have a Terrific Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The photo, the song and the verse. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGod always gives us a good picture each morning, IF we are looking for it! Have a great day dear lady.
ReplyDeleteNow, I see it...beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI love both the song by Cat Stevens and the Bible verse. When he was young he had such a pure sweet voice. I also love that God's mercies are new each and every morning. I can now view your photo. It's a good one :-) Did I already tell you I love your new header? It's so cute. Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteThat moment when light first starts to break at the horizon is one of my favorite times of day!

ReplyDeleteLove your verse today.
ReplyDeleteAwe love the post and the picture! So funny about your word Deb. A sweet younger woman asked me to pray for her a Word....(another story my friend for another day) but I did. The Lord gave me a word for her. It was Presence! When I shared with her she cried and cried. She is in the midst of a lot of ugly right now in her marriage and her words to me was: Do I EVER need His Presence! Just had to share with you at how God works through the simplicity of a word Deb. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! You certainly were present to God's creation in the new day. How beautiful! I love that song, Morning Has Broken, and you had a ringside seat to His morning. Thank you for sharing that lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Wednesday,
