for it is the source of life.

Ponder is my word for 2015 and I've already filled over 3/4 of my journal with thoughts and words that God has given me to "ponder" on. The word I felt led to share today is HEART. Y'all know I adore acrostics, so I chose words for each letter to show what a heart for God might look like.
H - Humble
James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
E - Encourage
I Thessalonians 5:11
So encourage each other and build each other up.....
A - Attitude
Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
R - Respect
Romans 12:10
Love each other with genuine affection,
and take delight in honoring each other.
T - Truth
Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love,
let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ.
HOPE everybody has a Wonderful Wednesday!!!
Breathing in Grace,
Hi Debbie, I enjoyed reading your post tonight. It blessed my heart. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ms. Susan for taking the time to comment. What a blessing! I love encouragement.
DeleteBeautiful. It amazes me how you and others can put down what I am thinking (close too) and not being able to put down. God really does send us to people HE knows we need. Blessings
ReplyDeleteP.S. I like/love your blog header photo.
You're so precious to say that, Ms. Linda. I think God gives ALL of us different gifts. Mine must be the gift of gab!!! ;-) Blessings to you, too!!!
DeleteLoved this today Deb. I've been guarding my heart and mind a lot lately sister. Love you! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI think we all have to guard our hearts to not allow Satan to use what he knows as our weaknesses to get to us! Oh, he does that so often with me. Love you, sweet Lady!
DeleteBeautiful, Deb!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ms. Melanie. HOPE you have an awesome day!
DeleteI love this post. My heart is being convicted of all the junk that goes in through Facebook. Do I really need to know everybody's every thought and move? My brain is so cluttered with too much 'mess'. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the reasons that I deleted my Facebook account over a year ago. I kept debating and going back and forth....having deleted it in the past and would get right back on there....but, once I finally took the plunge, I knew that was exactly what God was calling me to do. Prayers that you will do exactly what He is asking....whether it's to delete your account, or to just stay there and be a light for HIM. Have a great day!
DeleteI listened to a teaching on this verse recently...We are to guard our heart above all else... ...above ALL else Serous instructions for us....
ReplyDeleteIt is serious....we can't just pick and choose what scriptures we want to obey!
