This is gonna be one of those transparent posts.
You know.....
where I bare my soul and let y'all know that I'm so far from perfect that it's not even funny.
Okay, here goes!
I'm a whiner.
Pappy tells me this quite often.
We're not drinkers.....
well, unless you can count water, tea and coffee.
But, he'll sometimes jokingly......
or not so jokingly.....
ask me if I'd like some cheese with my whine!
Just THANKSgiving Day,
he every so kindly pointed out this fault of mine.
Then, that evening as I was watching Ms. Patsy Clairmont on YouTube,
I came across this video and I just had to laugh because I knew that it was so meant for me to view it.
(don't you love God's sense of humor?)
And, as if that wasn't enough,
here's what I read in a post Friday on Instagram......
"There is only One who has the right to complain,
and He chooses not to.
It's not in His nature and character.
He rejoices instead, and in that, He is the Light of the World.
And, because God is not a complaining God,
even though He has endless material to work with just in my life alone,
what in the end do I really have to complain about anyway?
I'd rather be like my Abba Father and let my light shine."
(InCourage)
Okay, Lord.
I'm getting the picture.
Shut, up, Deb, and count your blessings!
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,
but only such as is good for building up,
as fits the occasion,
that it may give grace to those who hear.
Breathing in Grace,
"There's only one who has a right to complain and He chooses not to." I fell in love with that sentence, I need to print that and hang all around my home. And who can't help but LOVE Patsy....she is just the cutest thing, but we know in that little funny lady there is always a great message exploding into the atmosphere! Enjoyed your post today my friend. Sending ((hugs)) to you.
ReplyDeleteI loved this post although I couldn't help but laugh at the video clip. I'm also a complainer. I don't mean to be, but sometimes I am and this post was a reminder for me to shut up, too. Blessings to you... :)
ReplyDeleteI love your transparency, dear sister in Christ. I relate. Now going to listen to your video hope I can laugh :)
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! What a delight this speaker is! Thank you for introducing me to her. My Dad always wanted to play the piano, so he started lessons when I was a teenager. He did practice, but he also had a tin ear and no rhythm! Poor guy.
ReplyDeleteNo, God doesn't complain. So I guess I have no model for whining. I'm with you sometimes though, life seems hard! But I guess we just have to put on our 'big-girl panties' and get on with it.
Bless your husband! He sounds funny :)
