I managed to sneak in a little crocheting this week while watching America's Got Talent.....
do y'all like that show as much as I do?
(well, except for the judges!!!)
I was checking out Pinterest one day this week.....
something I find myself doing each and every day.....
when I noticed I had a notification from Jess!
She had pinned something and left me a message asking if I could make it!!!
Well, you know me.....
I'm always up for a challenge.....
especially, when CROCHET is involved!!!
Here's what she wanted.....
When I did a search on Google I found it had been crocheted by Ms. Leslie Wind at Folly Cove Fiber Creek. I want to give her the credit because I had never heard of a "soap hammock". She didn't include a pattern, so I made Jess's by looking at the picture.
And, here's what I came up with.....
Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatever your hands find to do,
do with all your strength.....
Hope everybody's having an awesome weekend!!!
Breathing in Grace,
Deb
I SO envy your talent, Debbie! What a unique and clever idea this is.... I bet the secret is in the choice of yarn as far as longevity goes....
ReplyDeleteO deb, thats beautiful! I like it!
ReplyDeleteVERY cool idea! I love the fact that you can look at something and make up your own from it. What a special gift!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that. Were they easy to make? It looks complicated. Of course, I only know how to do a chain stitch and have never quite mastered turning around and going back the other direction! :) Thanks for the comment on my blog. I love the owls too. Thirty-One is starting to do so much Owl stuff I am becoming a big fan of the little whimsical ones. I always think of you when I see anything owl. HOPE you have an awesome day.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteI really love your version of the Soap Hammock. I must admit I sometimes put my toothbrush in it too.
Leslie
Where can I find the pattern for this. Would love to make it. I am a beginner at crocheting but I'm willing to attempt this lol Thank you!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have this pattern? I'd love to make some!
ReplyDeleteDo you have this pattern for sale? I really want it and can't find a pattern.
