The old paths.....

When I walked into the sanctuary from Sunday School yesterday morning, something just seemed different.  The "big screen" wasn't down and you could see the beautiful wooden cross in the back of the baptistery.  Our pastor explained that things would be done a bit differently during the service.  We would be singing out of the hymnals, something we hadn't done in a very long time because the words to the songs are always on the screen.

The reason for this change was because somebody.....

or several somebody's.....

had stolen the computer equipment in the sound booth,

and had also tried to steal some of the cameras.

When our pastor led the congregation in prayer,

he prayed for those who had stolen from our church.

Our prayer is that God will certainly get the glory in the wrong actions of those who stole the equipment.....

and that the thief(s) will be able to see God at work in their lives!!!

But, it was kinda nice to go back to the "old fashioned way" of singing from the church hymnal.....

and taking sermon notes just from what we heard our pastor saying,

and not from what we were able to read off the screen!!!
