As I was driving to meet my friend for lunch on Friday,
I heard a message on the radio about all the terrible things that Jesus endured before being hung on the cruel cross.....
but then in three days, EVERYTHING changed!!!
That number THREE stuck in my mind as I drove on to my destination and the thought kinda hung around all weekend! Pappy and I discussed the question as to why Jesus stayed in the grave for three days. I even asked the question on Google to see what answers I could find. I personally think that there were three days between the time He was crucified 'till He arose to simply fulfill prophecy.
But that number "3" still got me to thinking even further.
Sometimes, I have a tendency to "jump the gun".
In other words, I make hasty decisions without a lot of thought.....
let alone prayer.....
going into what I decide to do, or say!!!
I've found that waiting.....
3 minutes.....
3 hours.....
3 days.....
can make all the difference in the world!!!
Just look at the difference it made in our faith in a risen Savior!!!
Isaiah 30:21
Your own ears will hear Him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.
HOPE y'all had an awesome Easter weekend.....
and you have a marvelous Monday!!!
Breathing in Jesus,
Deb
We had a great Easter with the family Deb. Hope you and Jack had a great Easter too! And yes....sometimes just a second can make a difference can't it? Have a great Monday. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie, what a great post. I've never even thought about why three days !! God Bless you dear friend, you have blessed me this day!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of waiting 3, whether it's minutes, hours, days, months, years--whatever is appropriate for the situation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
