I shared with y'all that our church recently went thru a revival summit with Life Action Ministries. We spent several weeks in prayer getting ready for the event. I think often we have a wrong idea of what revival means. What I discovered is that before we can experience true revival, we have to be broken!!! Since my spirit of fear was revealed to me during one particular meeting, I've continued to come across scripture and signs that deal with fear....so God's insisting I not forget what He is trying to teach me!!!
Fear tries to get us to give up, but faith takes us all the way through to victory!!!
~~~Joyce Meyer~~~
May suffering ones be suffering free, and the fear struck fearless be.
May the grieving shed all grief, and the sick find health relief.
Amen.
~~~Zen chant~~~
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Proverbs 1:7
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Proverbs 1:7
I was being held captive by my fears!!!
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
And, this one really speaks to my heart....
Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Hope your Thursday is full of sweet blessings!!!
In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
Wonderful post Debbie. FEAR has a way of destroying us if we do not give that fear to God. God doesn't give us a spirit of fear so I know it is from Satan. Let's bind together and pray that "All fear be gone". Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOKAY NOW! I am ready for the day .....got my thinking cap on straight and will not allow "fear" to be my preacher today.....Joyce Meyer put it this way about fear:

I too have struggled with a spirit of fear over the years and have been healed of its hold on me. Fear takes away our freedom to live a life designed by God!! Beautiful post. Renee at Adventures In Faithful Living.
