Sin is sin....there are no little sins and big sins.
I imagine God looking down on us and seeing the sinner....
....not whatever the sin is that's being committed.
We are ALL sinners....
(for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God).....
....no matter if we choose to acknowledge it, or not!!
Romans 1: 18-32
But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
But....there is HOPE!!!
Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
This should not be a touchy subject for Christians at all and if it is I question what part of God's Holy Word do they not believe! I am angry about this. Thanks for allowing God to use you this morning to post this! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. I was so saddened by this whole thing. I don't know what to say. Some people don't believe that this is a big deal, but it is. We will be sorry some day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cindy, God's word is God's word...we are not to add or take away. God love's all of us and yes we are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of God. By His mercy and grace He loves us anyway, it's the sin He abhors...He has made a way for forgiveness, He took on all our sin on the cross. I pray for ALL to repent and accept His saving grace. The Throne Room is always open to His children if we will just come....Thank you for this post Debbie, the words need to be spoken and written for all to hear and see. {{hugs}}

The same sex marriage problem is coming to Australia also...sickening. It makes me so angry. I signed a protest form over here and had to write a comment. I didn't bring in the Christian view as many shrug that off. Instead I asked where our will our children be in fifty years time?? No one seems to consider the final outcomes.
