Lois (desirable) and Eunice (good victory) were mother and daughter, and the grandmother and mother of Timothy. Both were a Jewess. Lois instructed both her daughter and grandson in learning the Old Testament. Timothy was brought up in the Jewish faith by both of these women and Paul gave both of them credit for Timothy's spiritual instruction.
(2 Timothy 1:5, 3:15, and Acts 16:1)
Conclusion:
It's our responsibility to bring up our children in the "genuine faith", but our duty doesn't stop there. We are to continue teaching our grandchildren about Jesus!!!
Happy Tuesday, Sweet Reader!!!
HOPE you have a great day full
"showers of sweetness"!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
Deuteronomy 6:7"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thour risest up.".....in other words...the Word of God is a way of life ...not just a quick devotion before bed or just a Sunday a.m. service...it is a way of life...it is to be who we are ....once again God has used your blog to confirm to me that which he gave me for this coming Sunday class is right from his heart for us.....Words are cheap ...action do speak louder than words!
