Saturday Sweet Treat!!

I haven't shared a recipe in a while....so since I happened to remember to take some pics of a strawberry pie I made for Pappy this week....
....I thought you might enjoy it, too!  
He loves strawberry pies....of any kind....but he asked for one that was "thick...not like Shoney's".  I thought I knew what he meant....so I found a recipe....and he said it was just right!!!  Since I only had a graham cracker crust on hand....that's what I used, although the recipe calls for a regular pie crust....and I certainly didn't want to make one from scratch!!!


The next one I make....I'll use more strawberries....more like 3 cups....and less sugar. It was a bit too sweet for my taste....I prefer a little on the tangy side!
I put a few in the little angel food cups that I had on hand, too.  
Wouldn't those be neat for a shower....or a brunch....or to serve to a great bunch of ladies who happen to come over to your house for a Bible study!?!?
