Isn't that the cutest picture?
I came across it as I was looking for some new "decorations" for my web sites!!!
As I read the caption....
"YOU LOOK GOOD TODAY"
.....I was reminded at how each of us need a little encouragement every now and then.
So....let's make that our goal today....as a "Thoughtful Thursday" project....find somebody you can make feel better in some way....compliment their hair style....tell a cashier what a good job they're doing....allow somebody with only one item to go in front of you in the grocery line.
If nothing else.....SMILE at somebody!!!
My Momma always told me....you can catch more flies with honey than you can vinegar....in other words....being kind will get you a lot further than being a sour puss!!!
;0)
Ephesians 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
What did you do today to encourage somebody?
Or....what kindness was shown to you?
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
I love that picture and your thoughts. I got lots of hugs from my kids at school today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful reminder to be the encourager He's called us to be!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and You Look Good Today! :))

Hi there... I have taken Ephesians 4:29 to heart and it is now part of my thoughts on a daily basis. Before I speak, I TRY to think of this verse first.... especially if it may not be nice. I judge this by putting myself in the shoes of the recipient. If I even question once if I should something I have learned it is best not to say anything if I can't say anything nice.... and BTW - I FAIL AT THIS ALL THE TIME!!! But it is a goal and I try with the Lord's help. I am a work in progress.... blessed be the name of the Lord! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, most certainly...it's a motto I attempt to live by; nice words coming out of my mouth. I teach children with special needs and it is so important to present information in just the right way to encourage optimism rather than defeat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great reminder as I go into a Thursday ready for the weekend...
I will make a point to do this today! (I complimented my husband on the great job he did on some chairs he's been painting and completed this morning. They look SO good.)
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder, Deb. I will make a point to do this today. (I DID compliment my husband this morning on the wonderful paint job he did on a couple of chairs. They look fabulous!)
ReplyDeleteIts been awhile since I have said hello so I wanted to stop by! I agree with your statement and wish people could be this way everyday. Can you imagine what a wonderful world we would live in then? As usual I am leaving inspired! Ive missed you.
