I've heard a lot of people say they're so glad CHRIST-mas is over.
Oh, I understand what they mean.
They're glad the hustle and bustle and stress....and the mess....has come and gone.
But....
....we should hold CHRIST-mas forever close to us!!!
Jesus was born in a stable....or a cave....because there was no room for Him in the inn.
We need to always make sure there's room for Him in our hearts.
I know that the old Johnny Cash song,
I Walk the Line....
....has nothing to do with our Christian walk....
....or does it?!?!?
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine, I walk the line.
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine, I walk the line.
Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.
for it determines the course of your life.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
Daddy used to listen to Johnny Cash all the time, but I never thought of that song in quite that way...thanks for pointing it out to me. I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.

The Spirit of CHRISTmas should stay with us all year!
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing "Go Tell It On The Mountain" when I opened your blog :-)

Very good point. I love Johnny Cash.
ReplyDeleteI have a sweater that I wear the whole time it is cold and it says, "Come Let Us Adore Him" and I get lots of comments. Some are good comments and some ok and I always say in return, we should adore Him all year not just a Christmas. Great blog and you sound a lot better. See I told you I can hear you "clearly"! Love ya :)
