Shake the dust from your feet!

Happy Monday, precious reader!!! 

I HOPE that you had a wonderful weekend....and are ready to face Monday and all it holds!!!

I know I am....with joy in my heart....and anticipation of what the Lord has in store for me this week!!!

I've had 3 people tell me just recently that I'm a bit more "perky"...."bubbly"...."happy".  

A sweet friend even told me that my blog posts seem to be more positive!!!  

Well....I'm not sure that's been intentional.  

I guess when we feel better about ourselves....and we finally....
...."let go and let God"....
....that peace that we're feeling comes thru in every aspect of our lives!!!  
(I had already started this post and our pastor used that exact phrase in his message yesterday)

 I totally give God all the credit....and glory....for any "positive" change that comes across from me!!!

As we've been reading the Bible thru this year....it seems that no matter what is happening in my personal life....or where my head is at....whatever book of the Bible....chapter....and verse....that we   read that day....it speaks directly to my heart and a situation that I might be facing....or it can be applied to something that someone had confided in me and helps me have the advice they need.

As we read thru the Book of Luke....and now that we're in the Acts of the Apostles....I've read the verse of scripture three times....

(did you know that Luke wrote both books?)

.....that speaks of.....
....."shake the dust from your feet".....
....and oh, how it applies to so many things that we face.

Acts 13:51

So they shook the dust from their feet as a sign of rejection....

If there's a situation in your life that you can't change....just shake the dust from your feet and give the problem to God....and leave it with HIM!!!  

By the same token....if there's something that you CAN CHANGE....with HIS HELP....then....shake the dust of Satan's lies....pray to Jesus for guidance....and it can be accomplished!!

It's not always easy to "shake the dust from your feet"....of certain things....or people.

  
But....nobody said that being a Christian was gonna be easy.

It's just so much better than not knowing Jesus!!!
