Have you noticed that you get a "Mishmash Monday"....when I've had a full weekend?!?!?
This one was jam packed....and as I write this....my eyes are burning in need of rest!!!
Here are a few things that have been happenin'....in my neck of the woods.....
1) I've gotta start my list with wishing my sweet Mamaw a very happy, blessed NINETY-NINTH birthday....today!!! We went to see her yesterday. She has lived such a long full life....and we all love her dearly!!! This is a pic I took the last time she was able to cook Christmas Eve supper for us....her specialty was her homemade biscuits....and her fried chicken....and salmon patties....and strawberry cobbler....oh, and raisin pie!!!
2) While we were at Mamaw's....my cousin came to see her, too....and brought her 5-week old baby boy....Owen. Oh, my....makes me want more itty-bitty GRAND-babies!!!
Jess and The Dad....hint-hint!!
;)
Isn't he adorable?!?!
(and can you believe I've got more gray hair than my Mom?!? What's up with that? And, no she has never put color on her hair!!)
3) Last Thursday afternoon, Pappy decided he needed to see the boys so they could have a water gun fight....they had a ball....all 3 of my boys!!
They're squirting water into the frog's hole trying to get him to come out!!!
4) Saturday, we decided to make a trip to Carver's.....it's an apple orchard located in Cosby, Tennessee. It's such a nice place to visit....and the food is yummy!!!
5) I have to throw a little craft in I worked on....an easy-peasy one!!!
Bought the whiffle balls (is that what you call 'em)....at Dollar Tree (where else)....4 in a pack for a buck!!! The twine....I can't remember where it came from, but I already had it on hand.
Put hot glue on the ball...and twist the twine around and around....pushing it up close to the previous row as you go.
And, here they are in a bowl with some other balls!!!
I have a list a mile long of things to get done this week, since Pappy is on "stay-cation".....plus, we have some things planned to do with the boys....and hopefully we'll get a day to just relax and enjoy his time off!!! I'll be checkin' in from time to time, though....and try to post a little something each day!!!
Hope all of you have a great week!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Happy birthday to your sweet Mamaw! Oh my, 99!!! What a blessing! And she looks great--less grays than you and all. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe babies all look adorable. Makes my heart soar to think of my precious ones at that age...sigh. Sometimes I wish I could turn back the hands of time, but other times I just wish I could push a fast forward button and see them settled in with their own new families way past this age of early adulthood.
The crafts and those gorgeous harvest pics are amazing. Gotta love Autumn. Have a glorious Monday!
Happy Birthday to your Mamaw! 99 - whew! That's incredible.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous weekend. Happy Birthday MaMaw!!!! How blessed you all are to have her around! Sounds like she is the one in charge.
ReplyDeleteAll those pics of the pumpkins and gourds are making me anxious for Fall! Cant wait to decorate, and bake, bake, bake. Love your blog.
I am following you!

Love the fall photos. I used to do a lot of craft projects. You made me want to get out my hot glue gun and start shooting. LOL
