I found this recipe in the September issue of Woman's Day....and I plan on picking up the ingredients to make it this weekend!!
Have any of you switched from "white flower" products to "whole-grain"? We have....and I'll have to say, that I really like the pasta much better...it has a better taste and texture!!
Anyway....if any of you try this, let me know!!!
(this isn't the pic that was in the magazine, but was the closest I could find on Google!!)

Whole-Grain Apple Cake
1 box (20.5 oz) whole-grain apple-cinnamon muffin mix
2 large eggs
3 medium Granny Smith, or Gala apples, peeled, cored and cut in 1/4-inch thick slices
Heat oven to 375. Coat a 9-inch spring form pan with nonstick cooking spray. Prepare muffin mix as on the package directions, using 2 eggs, 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup oil. Gently stir in 1 sliced apple with the provided apple-cinnamon pouch. Spread into pan.
Arrange the remaining apple slices in circles on top. Sprinkle with 3 Tablespoon of sugar, then the granola topping on top.
Bake for 55 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
If you want.....sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, or pecans, on the top along with the granola.
Serves 12.
244 calories per serving...in case you're curious....of course adding nuts would make it a bit more!!!
Happy Friday, Everybody!!!
