If you've been a follower of my blog for very long....you know how I love whimsical little owls!!!
Remember last week when I showed y'all my craft room makeover....and told you I had plans for the cabinet I showed?
Well....I've always wanted to try my hand at painting....so....I just bit the bullet and jumped right in!!
I found the cabinet several years ago at an estate sale. I don't have a pic of it as I bought it, but there were green and red stencils on each of the doors....making it look very countryish!!!
Here is is in the process of having its doors painted red before it found a home in my craft room.....
I first painted each of the doors one of the 4 colors that I chose to use in the craft room....
Then.....I found some pics of cute little owls.
Mine look absolutely nothing like the ones I found.....but at least they gave me something to go by.
I used chalk to draw them onto the doors....
Then, I crawled into the floor (which didn't help my arthritis any at all...or my still sore leg).....and I proceeded to paint....
And....here's what I came up with.....
I discovered something about painting....you cannot be a perfectionist about it. The more I tried to get things "perfect".....the less I liked it. When painting....especially something whimsical.....just paint it....and let it go....then, stand back....and....hopefully....be able to admire your work!!!
Blessings to each of you!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
