A bit weary

Weary
1 - exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness
2 - having one's patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted

Have you ever been weary?
If I get out and work really hard in the yard for several hours....then, I definitely fall into definition #1....
"exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness".
My strength has left me....I feel I can't go on any longer as I drag my tired bones back into  the house....and if you could smell me (I know way too much info)....then, you would know that I was anything but "fresh"!!!

But sometimes.....I fall into definition #2....because my patience....or my tolerance....gets worn out.

I try to be as completely honest when writing my blog as I can.....and I've had several of you comment that you appreciate that....because it's something that you can relate to.  You've expressed that you've felt the same way....or was glad to hear that somebody else is struggling with the same thing you're going thru.

Well....that being said....I'm a bit weary....a bit worn out....a bit tired!!!
I'm weary of.....well.....to put it bluntly.....people!!!
Sandpaper people to be exact.
You know who they are, right.....those people who just rub you the wrong way.....get under your skin.....make you grow really tired of always taking the high road!!!

Job 10:1 (NLT)
.......Let me complain freely.
My bitter soul must complain.

I'm really not bitter.....okay, maybe I am just a little!!!

Do you have somebody like this in your life?
Somebody who grates on your nerves?
How do you handle the situation?
Do you just pray for that person (done that).....and also pray for yourself that God will help you tolerate them? (done that, too!)
And.....are you.....like me......hoping and praying that nobody considers you a sandpaper person!!!

Thanks.....just needed to get that off my chest!!!

Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. I'm afraid I haven't always handled the sandpaper people very well. In particular - one recently. I prayed for this person, yet she continually got under my skin and there were times when I had to confront her. (I won't go into details here, but God took care of the situation, in His way, in His time.)

And yes, I'm sure I've been a sandpaper person also.
