.....in life!!
Several months ago I was talking to a family member about our purpose in life. This lady is several years older than me....and she said she sure wished she knew what her life's purpose was.
Guess what?
I was able to tell her....because....after many years of wondering myself....I know the answer.
It lies in the verse of scripture that I used on last Friday's blog....remember?
Deuteronomy 10:12 (NLT)
"And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul."
Now....don't think that just because this is an Old Testament verse of scripture....and that it was in a farewell address that Moses was making to the children of Israel....that it doesn't still stand true for us today.
When I was younger, I used to wonder what my purpose in life was, too. I used to think that the answer had to do with my job....or maybe what "position" that I held in the church....or what spiritual gift that God had given me.
Once I realized that my sole purpose...
( I like using the term "soul purpose" much better)
....is just to simply love my Savior....and show Him that I love Him....then it freed me up from the worry of trying to figure something out....that was right there in black and white...in my BIBLE!!!

I hope if you're reading this...and you've spent years trying to understand what your purpose in life is....then....you'll quit trying....take a deep breath (a sigh of relief)....and thank the good Lord....that all you've gotta do is love Him....because He sure does love us!!!
Blessings to you!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
