......but don't tell Pappy!!!
After all....this is a "G" rated blog!!!
ha! ha!
My precious daughter has decorated her house all Valentiney....so....I wanted a few little lovey-dovey things in my home, too!!!
Remember a few weeks ago when I told you I got in on some deals at Biggie Lotties....after Christ-mas stuff marked down to 75% off?!?!? Well...I bought a little pink tree (it's actually purple, if you ask me)...but the box said "pink"....and it was only $2.50!!! I went to Dollar Tree and picked up some Valentine decorations....and now just look at her....she's adorable...at least I think so!!!
See the little red hearts....they came in a pack of 6....and were actually picks. I took the stick out of them....and hot glued pink ribbon to the top of each one. The other hearts...that are decorated with ribbons and buttons....are playing cards. An entire deck for a buck at $ Tree!!! I chose ones that were meaningful....like one of them is the Jack of Hearts (for Pappy)....the Queen of Hearts (for me)....I chose a 4 of Hearts (to represent Jess' family)....and a 2 of Hearts (because the #2 is very meaningful to me)!!!!
On top of the tree, I placed a little Christ-mas angel....I just sparkled her up a bit with glitter glue
(3 in a pack for $1 at $ Tree).
The ribbons tied to the tree was actually a roll of ribbon that I cut into strips and tied onto each branch.
And...the little red foil hearts are a garland....again....$ Tree!!!
This is the wreath I made last year. It's strips of fabric and netting tied to a clothes hanger bent into the shape of a heart!!!
These were the same candles and berry wreaths I used at Christ-mas....I just attached the hearts to each one....and placed pics of loved ones in front of them!
And...what would Wise Old Owl be...without Owl-entine (get it??...huh???)...towels in the kitchen?!?!?
Blessings to you,
Just adorable. You're just a crafty genius when it comes to making cute and pretty things!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Can you do instructions on how to do the wreath with the material and fluffy stuff. I love that. I've got material with seashells and I don't know what to do with it for my beach room. I could get blue/green fluffy stuff and use that and ribbon, huh?
ReplyDeleteI just simply adore your little tree. I was disappointed not to get to shop the day after Christmas this year. Since we were on the road traveling up north. I also like your towels.
