I've had the word "joy" on my mind for several days. We went to our nephew's Christ-mas band concert Tuesday night and one of the songs played was "Ode to Joy". As I sat there listening, it dawned on me that I was letting too many things of the season get to me....that I didn't want to let one minute pass me by....that I wanted to find joy in each day....somewhere....somehow!!!
Sometimes....if I haven't seen our grandsons in a few days....it's just hearing their precious little voices on the telephone. Or...it's hearing them say,
"Nannie, love you"!
"Nannie, love you"!
It's knowing what a precious Momma our daughter is. It's realizing what a good provider our son-in-law is for his family.
It's knowing that I have the best husband in the world....who works so hard....and loves for me to be able to stay home
(I've learned that it's very important for a man to feel that he's providing for his family)
(I've learned that it's very important for a man to feel that he's providing for his family)
My prayer for you....is that....especially during this Christ-mas season.....you'll be able to soak up the true Christ-mas Spirit.....listen to Christ-mas carols.....attend church plays....eat a bit too much....enjoy time with friends and family.....and find your joy....the joy that Jesus placed in our hearts when we first accepted Him as our Lord and Savior.
Psalm 35:9
And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in His salvation.
Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and make me willing to obey you.
Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and make me willing to obey you.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
