I think I've mentioned before....how much I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!! And...I think I've also shared with y'all that I got my love of chocolate from my precious Daddy. Something else that my Daddy loved was anything lemony (he loved Kay's Lemon Custard ice cream!!!) I find I'm right there with loving anything lemony, too!!! Jess makes some wonderful lemon cookies that are sooooo good, with a lemony glaze!! Here's a recipe that I found at the Betty Crocker web-site for Lemon Cookies, also using a cake mix...and they're frosted!!!
YUMMY!!
Lemon Cookies
1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® lemon cake mix
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 container Betty Crocker® Whipped or Rich & Creamy lemon frosting
1. Heat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). In large bowl, beat cake mix, shortening, butter and egg on medium speed about 2 minutes or until blended.
2. Onto ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
3. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until light brown around edges. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet; cool completely. Frost with frosting. Store covered.Hope each of you have a wonderful weekend!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
My lips are puckering.
