As you all know I've turned into a thrift store junkie, thanks to my precious daughter...who has shopped at thrift stores since she was a teenager!!!
Since I don't work....and our funds aren't what they once were....I find I'm much more frugal....and especially with this economy most all of us have to cut back!!!
On Monday I went to a local Goodwill....and I wasn't actually looking for a purse, but since the sign on the door said "Purses $1.00"I thought I would take a peek...and here's what I got:
I love it...it's leather....very clean inside and out...and it's a "Relic"...just like me...get it???....relic...fossil...old....ha! ha!
But...guess what it rang up at...EIGHTY-TWO CENTS....I couldn't understand why until just a while ago it dawned on me....
she gave me a SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT....isn't that a hoot?!?!?! Am I offended that I was considered a "senior citizen"??
Heavens, no!!!
I earned every single one of these gray hairs and wrinkles....and if it'll save me some $$$$$.....then I'm all for it!!!
Thank you, Lord!!!
(p.s....I found a purse like mine on E-bay, only in black....for SEVENTEEN DOLLARS....with EIGHT DOLLARS FOR SHIPPING ON TOP OF THAT....and it was used, too!!!)
