Happy, happy 30th birthday to our precious son-in-law!!!
As most of you know, Jessica Leigh is an only child. We chose to only have one child for lots of different reasons. Well, when Jess met Brant, God blessed us with the son that we never had. He is a Christian man, honest, and a very hard worker and wonderful provider for his family, and we are very proud of him. Today is his 30th Birthday. On Saturday, Brant, Jess, Brant's brother and sister-in-law, Pappy, me, and 4 boys..including Little Bit....all went to the Circle G ranch. This was what Brant wanted to do to celebrate his turning 30. Well....I seriously doubt any of us will forget that trip. If you haven't been, it is AMAZING!!!! There are llamas, zebra, ostriches, emus, donkeys, pot-bellied pigs, camels, goats, oxen, rams...and I think I could go on and on. But....when we got to the back half...it started raining. Now, picture this....Pappy, Brant, Nana, Jess, sis-in-law, and 4 boys all piled into the bed of a pick-up and it absolutely came a "gully-warsher". I had prayed for rain....maybe I should have been a bit more specific as to when I wanted it to start...ha! ha! Anyway....all the little boys and Jess got into the truck...leaving Pappy, Brant, sis-in-law, and me....in the bed of the truck....getting absolutely soaked. I have never in my life been that wet. But, it was something to laugh about, and certainly a birthday celebration to remember...forever!!!
So...Dear Brant...we love you so much...you know that we try to treat you the same as we do Jess...because you are our son, just as she is our daughter. (Mark 10:8 - KJV - and the two shall become one flesh; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.) You are the Daddy to two of mine and Pappy's greatest blessings, and we thank you for that!!!
Now...excuse me while I go blow my nose....aaaccchhhooo!!!!

ReplyDeleteI always like to herar great stories on good son-in-laws because that is not always the case. My sister Amy hubby is just to the extreme helpful to her and a very good man. Hey!! where did you go this past weekend for his b-day?

ReplyDeleteMarenda..the animal park is Circle G ranch. It is over on Thorngrove Pike, really close to our house. It is amazing. Your boys would love it. You drive thru and take feed with you for the animals and they come right up to your car!!
