Boycott - Reminder

Don't forget..."boycott"!!!

Tonight is the premiere of the TV show "Swingtown".

Christians, stick together, and let's not watch this show.

I listen to Love 89 a lot. I rarely listen to secular music anymore.

I find I need all the spiritual influence I can get in my life.

I just heard on there a movie review for "Sex and the City".

The movie critic gave it a "0" rating out of 1-5.

He said that a 22 year old was interviewed and that since she was 14 she had patterned her life after the characters in the TV show. One of them smoked, so she smoked....one was sexually promiscuous, so she was, too. Like I've said so many times before. We have to be so careful what we let our kids see/hear/do.

Just ask Jessica Leigh!!! I would never let her watch MTV, and I heard a lot of complaints about it, too.

But..before she left home..she was around 22 years old..she watched something on MTV and told me she understood why I would never let her watch it.

See what I mean?!?!?!?!?

It is so not easy being a parent!!! But, we have to stand our ground. I also used to tell her that she wasn't mine, that she belonged to God and it was just mine and her Dad's responsibility to raise her the way He wanted. Sometimes, until we have children...grandchildren...of our own, we don't understand why our parents were just so mean!! ha! ha!

Okay..I'm now climbing down off my soapbox!!!
