Disappointment.....defeated in expectation, or hope
(Merriam-Webster online dictionary)
The past couple of weeks I've been a bit disappointed due to some things that have been happening in my life. I've had to learn the hard way not to put your trust in people because most of the time they're going to let you down (and I know I've let others down, too, and for that I am very sorry...because this feeling just isn't a pretty thing to deal with)!!!! This goes for those who you thought would never, ever do anything to upset you....your friends....your superiors....your family (family isn't involved in my pity party this time)!!!!
But....I've also learned from it all....to not go around like you've been sucking on sour grapes!!!
Hold your head up....say "Get thee behind me Satan".....put a smile on your face....and carry on!!!
In the midst of your disappointment by other people in your life.....you've gotta remember.....God NEVER disappoints!!! Things happen in our lives that we need to take as learning experiences, so that we will know better next time...or that we can use to help somebody else going thru the same thing!!!
I Peter 1:6-7
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
But on a lighter note (lighter note, lighter color..ha! ha!)....I have a pair of sandals that I dearly love, but they are looking really ratty!! I've been looking for another pair similiar, but couldn't find them....these came from Target...so....long story short...I found them on e-bay...brand new...total of a little over $12, including shipping!!! woo-hoo!!! I told Jess I think God felt sorry for me because of my rough week, and blessed me with those shoes!!!! YEAH!!! I'm excited...can't wait to get them!!!
